National Youth Week

National Youth week 2018 is just around the corner.

Join in all kinds of exciting events from May 1 to 7th, 2018 in the Peterborough Community. Most events are FREE!

See below for event details:

  • Tuesday May 1st- RU READY Event 3 @ VENUE from 7:00 - 9:00 pm- local youth art performances by "Peterborough Performs.  Great door prizes, great entertainment-PWYC.

  • Wednesday May 2nd- World Town Planning Day @ McDonnel Street Activity Centre from 4:00 pm- 7:00 pm.. Join local Planners as you have fun designing futuristic plans for the south end of    Peterborough. Free dinner is provided but you must pre-register at or call 705 749-6710


  • Thursday May 3rd- Chillin and Grillin Free BBQ @ John Howard Society-305 Stewart St from 3:00 -6:00 pm. Great door prizes, great food.



  • Thursday May 3rd- Museum Renegade Race @Peterborough Museum, 310 Hunter Street from 5:30 - 7:30. Bring your team of 5 and one phone that can take pictures and enter the race to win. This is a scavenger hunt type race, looking for funny and fun filled museum finds. Small snacks provided at the end of the race! Prizes too!


  • Thursday May 3rd-Rainbow at Your Fingertips @ Millennium Park. Share snacks, conversation and nail polish with LGBTQ+ youth and allies.


  • Friday May 4th- Pool Tournament at the LOFT- Downtown Youth Space, 201 McDonnel St, PACE@PCVS from 4:00-6:00 pm. Prizes and great food. Text Katie for more details 705 875 8142.


  • Friday May 4th- Yoga for Youth-at Peterborough Living Yoga, 394 George St. North above Hasselton's Coffee Shop form 4- 5:30 pm. This is a FREE event but please bring your own water bottle and yoga mat if you have one!


  • Saturday May 5th-Pete-Talks @ Agilic Employment Services, Brookdale Plaza from 1:00-3:00 pm. This event is similar to Ted-Talks- have fun, eat some snacks and learn job tips that can help you find work and stay employed.


  • Saturday May 5th- Youth Art Festival @ PACE @PCVS, 201 McDonnel Street from 1:00- 4:00 pm. Come and see all the beautiful art work by local youth. Experience the talent that exists right here in Peterborough.


  • Sunday May 6th-Photography Walk starting at the Silverbean Café at 3:00 pm. Bring your camera and capture the beauty within our downtown.


  • Monday May 7th-Escape Maze at PACE @PCVS, 201 McDonnel Street form 4:00- 6:00 pm. Bring your team of 4 and see if you can Escape.
